The Little Things - February

"The Little Things" is a year-long MemoryMixer project designed to inspire you to live a life full of gratitude.  I've been participating in this project and scrappin' digital pages of The Little Things in our life and then linkin my pages back to The Little Things - blog (see side bar, my link thingy isn't working).  They have a fun Weekend Giveaway-that's based on random drawing for posting and comment and you get a double entry for linking  page on your blog.   I went to the blog today and realized they listed "Grabers Three Ring Circus" as a to check out for Little Things Ideas in the Memory Mixer Community!  Whooo Hooo....so I thought I'd better get on here and post my "Little Things" February pages so I didn't look like a Slacker! LOL!!    So here are my pages...starting with the kids enjoying the Little Things of friends, sleds, and snow which resulted in PURE Delight and a day off school!
Another Little Thing I was grateful for in February is the Bottle of Shout!!  I really should have bought stock in this company b/c I do not know how many bottles of this I've gone through in the past 11 years in having children and seems like twice as much more since having a little boy in the family!! Also grateful for a little boy who always wants to be a helper!  He did a fine job getting all the stains covered and they came clean in the wash!!  What would life be like without my bottle of SHOUT, I'm sure alot messier!

The girls enjoyed the Little Thing of Bible Memory Day Camp a couple of weeks ago.   They have managed to make good friends who come back year after year along with during the school year memorizing bible verses they will stick with them the rest of their lives!  One of the "Little Things" they did at the day camp that they look forward to every year is making their wooden cars and racing them against the other campers home made wooden cars!  Megan ended up being 4th over all this year!!  She is mastering the art of building a "fast" wooden car! LOL!
February 21 we traveled to Cayuga for my nephew, Kyle's 11th birthday party!!  Kyle is a HUGE Football Fan and his gramma is an AWESOME cake maker...in going with the theme of the Super Bowl she made a Colt's helmet, a football, and a Saints helmet...and she did it all with a bummed wrist...she is Amazing and the cakes were delicious!!
Of course the kids love getting to see their cousins and we also took a few of the cousins from around here up there with us.  The Road trip home was pretty quiet as most of them sacked out from playing so hard at the birthday party!!
Megan also had her last game of cheering in February.  She was so stinkin cute as a cheerleader and loved doing half-time dances.  It has been nice to have a break from all the running of going to practices and games!

We've been blessed to have Kaelyn get to come home on the bus with the girls a couple of times.  Last week she came home on the day the high school students in Spanish Class had their "Spanish Day" at school for the elementary students.  They all got to stop by booths and pariticipate in different things.  All the girls came home with Spanish Names, flowers, and Megan and Natalie had their faces painted...I was quite surprised to see their fancy faces coming off the bus!

Also this month the little thing of a "reading nook" in the bath tub for Natalie to get caught up on her reading in a fun place...she also decided to invite baby cousin, Alton, in for some reading.  He loved every minute of it and I LOVED watching Natalie using her "Little Momma" skills taking care and reading to Alton just like a mommy would!  She loves him to pieces (just like the rest of us!)
So that wraps up my pages for a February full of Little Things that we were so blessed with!  Now onto March's  with starting Theme of "New Beginnings"....I'd better get started!  Have a safe and fun weekend and ENJOY that SUNSHINE it's sure to make you SMILE!

I love Birthdays!

I love Birthdays, today just happens to be mine!!  Can't say that I really enjoy getting older but age has never bothered me, there's nothing I can do to stop it and I know God has me right where He wants me to be.  But I do enjoy birthdays through the eyes of my children and the excitement that it brings to them.  This past Sunday I had the local Heller nieces/nephews over for lunch after church just for the fun of it.  My hubby had called someone in the Kevin Heller family and had them stop and buy a birthday cake for me!  That was a nice surprise, and Griffin was riding home from church with them so he got to help pick it out!  He really wanted the cake with the farm scene but then decided on this one!  Too cute.  And He was really excited to help me blow out ALL 38 candles!  And guess what we did it in one try!!  So we celebrated a little early but that's OK.  I enjoyed a nice lunch with some girlfriends today and the SUNSHINE is AMAZING!!  So far it's been a wonderful birthday and I'm thankful that God has blessed me with another year!!

Just checking out windows live writer

Look I can change the font!  I’m super excited!  And I can change colors.  This may be one of the best things I’ve discovered!

I just got my new laptop so I’m playing around seeing what all is available.  And I’m completely thrilled to know there was a little feature that took me directly to this “Windows Live Writer”.   I’ve been so frustrated with the “new” blogging format on blogger…seems like it takes too much time to do what I want.  But if this Windows Live writer works as well it looks like it is going to….all I have to say is look out Blogging World I’m back to more current blogging!  YAY!!

OK-I’m clicking the Publish to blog button, let’s see if it worked!!

***UPDATE---YIPPEE SKIPPY!!  It worked and was SO MUCH FASTER than using blogger!!  I’m thinking I’m pretty much hooked!
