Cross Country Season has officially started. Our lives are about to take us on a crazy ride of xc meets, volleyball games, and whatever else falls in between. We had our first girls varsity xc meet last night. This is my first year coaching high school girls, and I have 5 brand new girls who are all 1st year runners at the high school level. We ran at Forest Park Invite. Lots of really good teams there. They did good for their first time out running 5K distance and new course to them. We are looking to set individual goals with the girls and gain them lots of experience this year and most importantly to have a fun along the way. The BRHS Boyx XC did super and big congratulations to them and new course records were set!
Tomorrow Megan will be showing Max at the Indiana State 4H Fair Dog Show. Wish her luck. They are quite a pair. I call them the yellow M&M team, both blondes. Max can be quite stubborn, but it's a good thing his trainer, Megan, has just as much will power and stubborness to her as well. They make a great pair!
Also tomorrow is Les & I's 17th wedding Anniversary. Who could have predicted we be celebrating it @ a state fair with 500 other dogs and 2500 spectators! Sounds like puppy love don't you think? (sorry couldn't resist the pun)
