Celebrating Megan's 11th Birthday

Last week my, first-born, Megan Elaine Graber, turned 11, on November 1st, which fell on Sunday this year. It was really nice having her b-day on Sunday, she was able to bring some friends home from church with her. We went out for Chinese after church, which is one of Megan's FAVORITES, and so happened to be all of her friends too! Natalie went to lunch with Cassie & Chloe since they all DISLIKE Chinese food. We all caught back up with each other at our home, where my personal assistants, Cassie & Chloe, helped organize a "Spa" in the girls bedroom for Megan's birthday party. Chloe painted fingernails, Natalie painted toenails, I was in charge of hair, and Cassie was our "Tour-Guide Barbie" that kept everyone moving from one station to the next. Cassie even served the girls bottles of water and delicious Yummy Chocolates. The girls were very pampered and seemed to be enjoying all their spa treatments.

Above is Mallory H, Megan, Meredith G, and Kendra C. all enjoying the "massage" chair and pedicure. Below are some pics of the fun time...I think Cassie & Natalie were wore out after all the pampering! And don't you just LOVE Cassie's braids with bows in them!!! She even let me braid her hair at age 17! I used to do it ALL the time for her "back in the day"!

Below are my PA's: Chloe & Cassie
They are the best, I couldn't have done the party without them!

More fun pictures from the "spa"

Girls havin' FUN!
Later that evening the rest of our family & friends came over to celebrate with supper and cake and ice cream! Megan shares her birthday with her cousin, John, who turned, 17 on Nov 1st also!
Their cakes were made by my, BFF, Kiersten!! She amazes me with her talent! Megan's cake, of course was a "spa" themed which, Kiersten, made the towels and fingernail polish bottle on top of her cake out of icing! The pink & green were in honor of Megan's favorite colors right now. And John's cake was a camo cake, what guy wouldn' LOVE a camo cake! We had chocolate, fun-fetti, and banana flavored cakes! They were all delicious, but the banana was EXTREMELY YUMMY, I wasn't sure how everyone would like it, but that is the one flavor they all raved about!
Different pictures highlighting Miss Mae-Mae's personality and gifts!
And here is Megan's new pal who arrived just in time to help celebrate her birthday! Andy, the german shepherd!! He's her new partner for 4-H!! Andy has lived in a kennel ALL of his life, he is 2-years-old and has never really seen the "outside" world. We heard about him through some friends, that his owners were looking for a good pet home for him, so we decided to go check him out and he seems to be a good fit with our family. He is HUGE but is so tame...We've had him here for two weeks with us and he is adjusting pretty well. When he first arrived, he didn't even bark. We brought him home to the farm and just from his size and looks...I think he pretty much frecked out all the barn yard cats and our dogs were not quite sure about him. Now they are all getting along pretty well and Andy has even discovered he does have a voice and a massive sounding bark that he uses every once in awhile. So Megan is taking obedience classes with him and is already working with him to get him ready to go for 4H next summer. Even though Andy is 2-years-old he is really like a puppy because he knows really "nothing" and the training is starting from ground zero. We have seen some major "social skills" in him improve in just the short time he's been here. So it is going to be really fun watching him and Megan become the best of pals! She said he was her "birthday dog"...(he really was intended to be Natalie's dog for 4-H, but he is just a tad bit BIG for her so Megan piped up right away and said I'll take HIM!) So I guess in the end...he really was here "birthday dog"!!
