The girls ran in the Indiana State Middle School Championship meet yesterday in Carmel, Indiana. It's a HUGE race...1400 runners for the entire day! This is the first race this year that than ran against girls their own age....They both ran their best races ever and both set PR (personal records) Their team mate Brooke also ran in this race with them because she is a 4th grader like Megan...she also set a PR. They all ran in the 3rd, 4th, 5th grade race, which they ran boys and girls together...equaling 175 runners. (see pic below)

Here are their results:
Natalie = State 1st place 3rd grader
#18 place of 175
#4 overall girl
Time: 12:48
Megan = State 3rd place 4th Grader
#56 place of 175
#19 overall girl
Time: 13:57
Brooke = State 1st place 4th Grader
#42 place of 175
#13 overall girl
Time: 13:36
These big races make me so nervous for them and the girls ran their little hearts out...I was so proud of them...and yes I was my emotional self...and shed a few tears for them and some of the other girls...it's so Great to see their smiles on their faces when they are able to show that all their hardwork and practices pays off and see how they clip time off of their personal records...running with so many runners the competition just pushes them to do better. It's hard to explain unless you are there to see it...but simply said..."It was AWESOME!"
