Les' b-day was yesterday 39 and holding, well at least until next year! The song that is playing (International Harvester) reminds me so much of Les, especially when he hauls the crops in the semi! He is always talking about how many people don't realize how big and how hard it is to slow that big rig down when they pull out in front of him! Griffin got to ride to "Newburgs" (as he calls it) to take a load of wheat to sell the other day. He was so excited! I couldn't resist taking pics of them.
We were going to celebrate Les' b-day at the pond yesterday but as soon as we had everything loaded on the truck and ready to go..... down came the rain! So my friend, Bobbi, offered her new home to us so we just went there in hopes maybe the sun would come back out and we'd get to go back to the pond but that didn't happen. So we grilled our turkey and hot dogs and had supper up there and the kids had picked out fireworks for Les' b-day so they enjoyed setting those off last night. We had a good time just getting to visit with everyone. And the kids also enjoyed playing whiffle ball in the yard. Griffin was so tired, he was practically sleeping at the table for breakfast this morning and just kept saying...put me back to sleep mommy. He was wore out from all his fun playing.
